My name is Angela (my friends call me Angel) and I love anything to do with angels: tattoos of angels, angel posters, books on angels, angel t shirts and clothing – all to help me to stick out from the boring crowd!

Why are tattoos of angels so popular?

I’ve got a few tats but my favorites are my tattoos of angels.  I love these ones because I know I created my own designs – they are unique to me!

Most people love angels.  Angel designs are so versatile because both guys and girls can have these designs on their bodies.

Tattoos of angels are liked for many reasons

Angels are considered to be God’s messengers here on earth; they are pure, powerful creatures who help and protect us, especially the young, elderly and ill.

Angel designs tend to suit people who have spiritual or religious beliefs or believe there is a force of good in our world because that is what angels are: a powerful force of good in our complicated world.

Cherubs and cupids are little angels which represent innocence and love to the wearer. These cute angels are often chosen by lovers to portray love and devotion.

Many people choose a guardian angel tattoo design because they believe they have guardian angel watching over them. Guardian angel designs are often large and elegant, covering the upper back or chest area.  Sometimes guardian angels are represented by two large angel wings spread across the chest or back.  These angel wings look awesome on a well toned body in particular!

However, not all angels represent God’s direct messengers!  The fallen angel design represents angels who have been banished from heaven as punishment for a bad deed.  It is believed that fallen angels roam the earth till judgement day.   Often people who choose fallen angels tattoos are showing their rebellious nature or past.

In my case, I wanted tattoos of angels because I have strong religious beliefs.  My tattoo designs respresent my life, my beliefs and my goals for the future.

But remember, choosing your new tattoo is a very personal decision.  It’s your body so you can have whatever tattoo designs you want.  Just make sure it’s your decision and the tattoo ideas are unique to you.

How  I found unique designs for my tattoos of angels?

Angels touch our inner spiritual self and can do wonders for our feelings of well being and confidence.  In fact, all generations love angels, they are a timeless supernatural presence.

Designing your unique tattoos is an important occasion!

That is why I recommend you take your time choosing your new design because you will have your tat for the rest of your life!  Sure, you can have laser treatment to get rid of a tattoo that should not be needed if you have a stunning tattoo to start with!

So many people rush into choosing a random tattoo design which they later regret.  That is sad and unnecessary.

Get your hands on good quality designs and pictures of angels. This way you can merge bits of designs you like e.g. take wings from one design, hair and a body from another.   Include flowers and floral wreaths, lace and riboons into your tattoos of angels design – this looks really cool!  You know… pick and mix and you will not be disappointed.

Try not to rush into choosing any random design because you will probably be very disappointed!

My friends and family all like my tattoos which I am really pleased about!  In fact, many of my friends have now also got some cool tattoos.

Tattoos of angels can be inked on any part of your body!

It’s a personal thing; some people like to openly display their tattoos of angels and have them on their upper and lower arms.  Others prefer to have their tattoos on more private parts of their body which only special people see; their lower back, base of the stomach or chest area.

 

Is it painful getting a tattoo?

Well, I suppose that is a bit like asking “how long is a piece of string?”

Before I had my first tattoo I had heard that it was painful but I can say that I found it was fine with hardly any pain. It was about the same as plucking my eyebrows!

I recommend you read, listen to your favorite music on your MP3 player or meditate – that will help you if you are a little nervous.

Some celetrities with tattoos of angels are Beyonce, Bruce Willis, David Beckham, Drew Barrymore and Kayne West.  So many celebrities have tattoos in different designs and they all look stunning.
